Director's Message

Education is regarded as a tripolar process, involving the interaction of the personality of the educator on that of the educand in a social setting which affects the modification of the behavior of the educand. The knowledge of the nature of the educand is very useful and essential. Similarly, the educator also must thoroughly understand himself his assets and limitation and act accordingly where educating the educand. The social setting has to be presented by the educator to the educand, in a simplified and purified manner. It must be remembered that the unconscious influence of the environment is subtle and pervasive.

Dr. V.K. Maheshwari

As per our Indian tradition, we strongly believe that “The teacher is not an instructor or task master, he is a helper and guide. His business is to suggest and not to impose. He does not actually train the pupils mind, he only shows him how to perfect his instrument of knowledge and helps him and encourage him in his process. He does not impart knowledge to him, he shows him how to acquire knowledge that is written, he only shows him where it lies and how it can be habituated to rise to the surface.”

In the field of Education, since the time immemorial, their existence is controversy whether the teacher are born or they are made by acquiring certain specific skills. The fact is, if teaching is considered as a skill then its competence will be determined by the inherit attribute in the teacher. The innate attribute, in reality emphasized on the concept, which considers that teachers are born, while the acquired attributes considered that the teachers are made.

Considering this concept of teachers in mind, DIMS opened the teacher’s training college in the year 2002-2003. The College is approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and duly affiliated with C.C.S. University, Meerut.
